We’re part of a young team who are deeply committed to the conservation of the River Avon. We have performed charitable efforts to keep the river as clean as possible, including the living water project and our regular litter picks along the stretch of river we operate. Through Salisbury Punting and engagement in water-sports such as rowing (not in Salisbury unfortunately), we have committed to conservation of the river environment, we also enjoy teaching many of the locals and tourists that join us for tours about conserving Salisbury’s natural beauty! We’re currently engaging with Harnham Water Meadows Trust and have met with other interest groups of the River Avon.
Family owned and run, Salisbury Punting is a local business through and through, with the owner and both current “managers” having attended Bishop Wordsworth’s School we like to imagine we have a wealth of local knowledge; from ecology, topology and history to the cathedral being ever so slightly off kilter.
